Coding with Robotics K-6 replay

In this webinar a constructionist approach of sequential teaching of coding to students from Kindy to Year 6 using robots will be explored. Aligning and connecting the Digital Technologies curriculum to a variety of hands-on activities. Ideas, resources, coding programs and types of robots will be discussed and shared.


Outcomes for attendee:

  • variety and suitability of robots for teaching coding
  • engaging students using constructionism
  • linking the digital technologies curriculum to tasks and lessons
  • providing a selection of coding programs and applications suitable for K-6 students

Jackie is the Junior School Technologies Coordinator at St Aidan’s Anglican Girls’ School in Brisbane and the author of blog. She is passionate about teaching with over 40 years’ experience and is a sessional tutor for pre-service teachers using technology to enhance their teaching and learning at Griffith University.
