You will receive an email that has all the details about the webinar. It has the link that you will use to connect in at the scheduled time. Plus you will get confirmation of the time, date and everything else you will need to know.

Here are some tips to make your webinar experience a roaring success.

Tip 1: If you haven’t been to one of our webinar events before it is best to log in several minutes early just in case you need to download the webinar launcher. In fact, if you want to test your connection prior to the event, then this article will be helpful – Test your Connection, audio or webcam Alternatively, in the email confirmation you will see a test system link. By clicking on that link you will be able to test your connection prior to the event.

Tip 2: As the webinar will consume some bandwidth, it is best to have a hard wired internet connection. If you are only able to use wi-fi, then try and make sure you are the only one using your connection, especially if connecting in from home.

Tip 3: Alternatively, make sure you close all applications that may ‘automatically’ be connecting to your internet connection. For example, Skype, email, etc.

Check out the system requirements for a successful broadcast:

For PC-based participants:

  • Internet Explorer 9 or newer, Mozilla Firefox 34 or newer or Google Chrome 39 or newer (JavaScript enabled)
  • Windows XP, Windows 2008 or later
  • Cable modem, DSL, or better Internet connection
  • Dual-core 2.4GHz CPU or faster with 2GB of RAM (recommended)

For Mac-based participants:

  • Safari 6 or newer, Firefox 34 or newer or Google Chrome 39 or newer (JavaScript enabled)
  • Mac OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion) or newer
  • Intel processor (2GB of RAM or better recommended)
  • Cable modem, DSL, or better Internet connection

Connect to audio using VoIP will need a fast Internet connection, a microphone and speakers. (A USB headset is recommended to avoid feedback.)

For iPad, iPhone, Android or Windows mobile devices:

  • Free GoToWebinar apps from the App Store, Google Play or Windows Store
    NOTE: You can only attend the session (see and hear). The interactive features (Q&A, chat, poll) do not function on mobile devices.
  • Wifi connection recommended for VOIP audio
